For candidates interested in an overseas working holiday experience or for those looking to relocate permanently, New Zealand is a country that is very welcoming of skilled healthcare and medical professionals.
New Zealand is currently experiencing an all time low in having access to skilled and professionally trained workers in a number of industries. The New Zealand Department of Immigration has issued a statement saying that professionally trained and educated individuals within the medical field are encouraged to apply to fill a large shortage currently being experienced within the local industry. Doctors who have completed their first year of medical residency are especially encouraged to apply to the Department of Immigration, as they are featured prominently on the occupational shortage list in New Zealand.
For individuals who have completed appropriate medical training in their specific field, there exist numerous medical jobs in New Zealand to be filled. The medical field is one of the largest industries in New Zealand which employs a vast number of individuals possessing the necessary skills and expertise. Even though the exact number of individuals who are employed within the medical industry is staggering, the industry is projected to continue to increase exponentially over the next decade.
